EVO mode (self registration) for returning customers
It would be great if the EVO screen had an "I've hired before" type button at the top that allowed a returning customer to type in their name, which then married up with our database and their previously recorded details but then allowed them to edit address/phone if required and still asked for a signature for that day's hire.

auto import cloud based GPS data from a few mfrs. of GPS location chips.
The GPS chip could be dropped into the saddle tube. There are dozens of mfrs. of these chips designed to locate "lost" property. Programmers should be able to have their cloud dump data into your cloud so that the location of the bike at any given moment could be known. A rental shop could go to the police with a BRM printout showing the bike has been at a specific address for X days and is your property. A hard copy printout of the info would be a far more effective tool than looking at a screen from some phone…

Scrolling between reservations
Able to scroll previous search querys' reservations inside each reservation (i.e. Arrows to shift from reservation to reservation without having to go back to list of reservations, while maintaining the list in searched query form.)

Allow search function to be less dependent on date range. Search should function simply based on general terms (customer name, reservation ID, etc...) without having to add too many specifics. Search should be quick and simple.

It is a delicate balance, and each search performs differently based on what it is doing. It shows if it uses the date or not with the highlighter. The idea is to do just what you say, quick and simple searches. For example 24hr mode doesn’t require dates, it just looks for ‘stuff happening’ today.
However searching by name is different. Some of our clients have been with us for many years, so we can’t search everything coz that would be slow. For that reason most people set dates to ‘this year’ and only adjust if they are doing something special. Thats the trade off between, ease, speed and power.

allow the user to send out an automated reminder of the booking details a week in advance of the delivery

Include a sorting option when printing a snapshot.
It would be great to be able to sort by client when printing a snapshot, so that all their bikes could be setup (grouped together with attachments) ready to go for when they turn up.

export new clients to mailchimp
new clients can be routinely exported to mailchimp for marketing.

Could BRM send an automatic message to clients when confirmed status is hit
when payment is received in an off-line manner, ie bank transfer cheque etc, give user the option to send an automatic payment notifation to the user.
and prompt if we don't have their email address.

Let Reservations contain assets with varying dates
so you could include parites that want bikes for different durations.
or so you could cater for tour companies who want to book other assets, such as minibuses and hotels for varying durations4 votes -
Split Reservations into new ones from details..
Sometimes a booking starts out as a group booking, then someone wants to break out (coz they want different dates / bikes etc).
Would be nice if you could simply drag and drop out the relevant detail, and create a reservation from it2 votesthis is a biggy. But perhaps one day.

Perform actions on all reservations within group
a cool feature would be to be able to change status (i.e confirmed to checkout) of reservations under same group name at once.instead of having to open each one of them one by one.

swap generics
shops using the premium GBAL feature would like to swap bikes at the generic level, when you know the type of bike required, but not the specific bike. (at that stage)

Lightspeed Integration - share inventory between LS and BRM
Today the Lightspeed Integration shares Transactions and Customers.
The idea would be to allow the creation of inventory in Lightspeed and then importing it into BRM. (and perhaps vice- versa)0 votes -
