Inventory Management

The inventory management layer is the most fundamental of the implementation hierarchy.  It doesn't necessarily involve bar codes, but inevitably will do for larger operations.






Here is what it is all about:
  1. labelling up your assets (bikes or other) so that they are identifiable (usually to humans and computers alike)
  2. organising them into a logical structure (e.g. types, sizes etc)
  3. getting them into BRM
Once you have this in place you can start to do more interesting things with your fleet, like managing their maintenance.
