Browser & Device compatibility



Browser compatibility depends on whether you're talking about the 'front end' ( i.e. the online booking wizard), or the 'back-end' - i.e. the thing you and your staff will use when managing reservations / clients / maintenance etc.

this will work in all modern browsers and across most devices including desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
The new version (from 2017 onwards) is fully responsive. (and full of awesomeness)

back end - for managing reservations, clients, bikes etc.

the back-end of BRM is more complex and provides much more powerful functionality than the wizard.  Therefore it is more sensitive to the little differences between the browsers.  As such it is only certified to work in the following browsers:
  • Safari
  • Chrome (recommended - fastest)
  • Firefox
Please do not try to use Internet Explorer for the back-end - it has been known to cause problems, and delays.

devices (phones, tablets etc)

The application is designed to be operated on a computer (i.e. a laptop or desktop with keyboard rather than touch).  For example a Windows PC or an Apple Mac.

Having said that, for limited usage, such as looking up daily activity on the move etc you can certainly use a touch screen device such as a tablet or even smart phone.
There are even some stores that use tablets in the back-office for main POS functionality - but if you're unsure ask to try out a demo.

 Please note the same rules about the browser compatibility still apply to mobile devices.

Do we have a dedicated app?

no and we don't plan yet.
But that doesn't mean you can't do what you need already....

you want to scan bikes in and out?  You can still do that using BRM in your browser.....
