what items of inventory count towards your 'item count'
This simple and transparent pricing ensures that what each store pays is proportional to the value you receive from our service.
It means you pay a flat fee, regardless of many rentals do.
It also means we can keep our prices very low, without taking a percentage of your business like some companies do!
What then, is the definition of an item?
"A rental item is considered to be a revenue-generating rental item, like a bike or a snowboard or a kayak or a GPS device. Generally helmets and smaller items are not counted towards your billing."
Here are some more examples:
inventory | extra | ||
what | ITEM | (*free ITEM) | extra |
bike | ✔ | ||
ski | ✔ | ||
snowboard | ✔ | ||
boots | ✔ | ||
ski pole | ✔ | ||
helmet | ✔ |
So, some definitions:
Inventory items are tracked by BRM's availability - meaning they have built-in calendars.
*free items are tracked by BRM, but we recognise they don't really contribute much to your P&L so don't count them in your inventory count.
ski boots are a great example. You need to know who is getting which boot, and you need to track them, but don't really make a huge income from them.
Extras don't have built- in calendars, but we still track which extras you issue to which customers.
