can you include a rental buffer - to allow 'turn around time' for your inventory?

short answer - NO not yet.
BRM / RSM is very powerful and handles scheduling of your items to the nearest minute.
which means you could schedule the following for any given item of your inventory:
(either in advance, or you could let it unfold as the day goes on)

But you may not want to / or be able to do that. For the following reasons:
- you may be moving your inventory from A->B (logistical delay)
- you may have maintenance to perform on your items between rentals (e.g. downhill mountain bike safety checks)
- you may be running at capacity and simply want to have some margin for error in your scheduling.
you would determine the post-rental (and potentially pre-buffer) duration.

The requirements are:
- you define your buffer zone behaviour (pre, post & duration)
- you define if buffers apply for online or back-office rentals or both.
- they get created automatically by the system in response to bookings being made
- they are kind of linked to the 'parent' rental (i.e. the one that caused it to be made);
if the parent booking is cancelled ideally so should the buffer(s)
if the parent booking is moved ideally so should the buffer(s)
- but they are kind of separate too;
The buffer must not be billed to the customer
The buffer(s) must not appear on the customers invoice
So, as you can see its quite complicated - which is why its not been built yet!
