Simplified create reservation workflowBRM is enormously powerful, in that it handles lots of different situations for many types of business, however we recognise that this has sometimes been to the detriment of it being intuitive 'easy' software.
We are no addressing that with a series of changes to the 'create Reservation' workflow.
It is important to realise that BRM will continue to work in the 'old way' too.
Summary of what's happening...
Name Changes
Just a subtle change in the way we refer to the 2 modes.
Each mode will get a new icon, and be accessible from the top of the create page:
Express Mode is becoming 'POS mode' (Point of Sale mode). Put items in your shopping trolley and rent them. (BRM will ensure item availability)
Custom Mode is becoming 'BROWSE mode'. You don't know exactly what your renting until you browse through your items to see what is available.
Single Page Booking
we recognise that the booking process has been long-winded, and spans 2 'pages' in BRM. This has not been very intuitive.In the near future you will be able to create reservations on one page.
The Client Panel
Until now the client ticker panel has only been an option for those who wanted to offer client registration from a tablet.
Going forward the client panel will be shown for all users.
It will also be upgraded to allow you to:
- add entire client records before you create a reservation
- add client name before you create a reservation
