Auto-pricing assets - longer durations

Auto-pricing

We have already seen how you can make your bikes / assets belong to price groups.
These price groups can then be assigned a pricing profile, which describes what prices will be calculated for your rentals based on the duration and assets included in that rental.

But what happens if the duration is beyond that described by your pricing table?

in this example some bikes are already maxed out at the 14 day limit, and others are still increasing:

When auto-pricing beyond 14 days, BRM extrapolates the same graph for each price group.
That is to say, it takes the price difference between the 13th and 14th day and applies that same increase to subsequent days.
So if you want a nice smooth increase beyond 14 days, better make sure you have a reasonable price increase beyond your 13th and 14th days.

Now (as of 20th November 2015) you can set prices up to 30 days, and a price increase there-after.

If you need custom pricing beyond 14 days, simply set a 30 day price;

and to set the daily rate-increase beyond 30 days simply set the 'extra day' price for the group:

What if it's still not right?

if you don't like the auto-price you can always adjust it in BRM (but of course you can't do this for online-bookers)
you can do this in one of 2 ways:
  1. adjust the billable days.  Lets says its 12days and 6 hours.  This will apply the 13 day billable rate.  But perhaps you want to round-down to 12 days, simply overtype 12 in the billable days
  2. adjust the price.  Simply type in a new price that you want to go with.
we normally recommend you add a rental note if you adjust prices.
